The Story Behind Celestial Frost

When daylight fades, the forest of NORUNE does not fall asleep.

By day, the forest gathers light, rain, and the richness of the earth into its leaves, berries, and seeds waiting beneath the soil, while sheltering the creatures that live within it. As night arrives, that cycle of nourishment begins to open toward something larger.

A deep blue sky settles over NORUNE ISLAND. Stars drift slowly overhead, faint auroras move across the distance, the moon rises, and clouds pass quietly above the trees. Light from the heavens, carrying something of the universe’s vastness, spreads across the island like a tide.

Deep blue lapis lazuli captures this moment of the night sky.

Its blue holds the long darkness above the forest. Natural golden pyrite flecks resemble traces of starlight, while pale mineral markings recall clouds, moonlight, and distant auroras passing through the sky.

The heavens are boundless, but here, NORUNE gathers a fragment of them into a piece of night that can be held.

On the other side, the baroque pearls resemble frost-covered branches hanging quietly in the winter forest.

Moonlight has no shape of its own. Only when it passes through the trees and falls upon frozen branches does its silver light become visible.

And so, the forest catches the moon.

Celestial Frost is born from this meeting — lapis holds the sky, while frostbound branches hold the moonlight.
